Tip 1: Check the neck band
Gold Standard 100% Whey tubs have a gloss plastic neckband around the lid. Colour will be black or black and gold. Check that this has not been tampered with.
Tip 2: Check the tub design
Gold Standard 100% Whey Tubs (UK and EU) have a circular indentation on the bottom. There is also a line running through the middle.
Tip 3: Check the date & batch code
Every Optimum Nutrition product will display a printed Batch Number and Date. The Best Before Date and Batch Codes are located on the should of the tub or the rear of the large bags. They will be printed in yellow ink on the tubs and black ink on the bags for UK and EU products.
Tip 4: Check the seal
Optimum Nutrition protein tubs have a cardboard vacuum barrier that helps hold powder in place during shipping. This gloss white protective disk should be stuck to top of the tub. Check that seal has not been tampered with.
