Tip 1: Check the Lid Seal
For sustainability reasons, we have decided to remove the lid seal from all our tubs, helping to save an estimated 4 tons of plastic per year.

Tip 2: Check the Tub Design
The Gold Standard 100% Whey tub (UK and EU versions) features a circular indentation on the bottom. There is also a line running through the center.

Tip 3: Check the Date and Batch Code
Every product from Optimum Nutrition displays a printed batch number and date. The best-before date and batch codes can be found on the top of the tub or on the back of large pouches. These are printed in yellow ink on tubs and black ink on pouches for UK and EU products.

Tip 4: Check the Inner Seal
Optimum Nutrition protein tubs include a cardboard vacuum barrier designed to keep the powder secure during transport. This shiny white protective seal should be attached to the top of the tub. Please check that the seal has not been tampered with.
